Foo Fighters Play South of the Border

April came in like a lion this year. Chocolate and booze were stockpiled anticipating the end of lent, Jews loaded up on the carbs that Passover forbids, and Foo Fighters fans got ready for not one, but two epic shows to scour the internet for. In the holiday spirit, I wanted to save you the trouble of looking, so check out the full Brazil concert below.

The band served as headliners at Lollapalooza in both Chile and Brazil and delivered two fully committed, balls to the wall performances. They seemed possessed in a way I’ve never seen, and Dave had an intense look in his eye that verged on scary. The audience it seemed wouldn’t have stood for any other approach, and spent the almost 3 hour set chanting and crashing into one another. Homemade signs were plentiful, but my fellow FF nerds will appreciate this one:

FRESH POTS!!!!!

The band played some songs outside of their normal playlist including Generator, Enough Space, and Hey, Johnny Park. Then buddy of the band Joan Jett stopped by to play Bad Reputation and I Love Rock and Roll during the encore. Dave and Taylor switched seats during Cold Day in the Sun and it is always a treat to see Dave pound the drums.

Make sure to check out Dave’s new guitar during Best of You. It’s rare that he plays anything other than his Trini Lopez, so enjoy the new look. I think it might be a Hagstrom, but that is only a guess based on googling. If anyone knows what it is, feel free to comment. I’m very curious.

Now without any more delay, here is the full video of the show in Brazil. If you really want to get into it, feel free to check out the set list while you’re watching. Enjoy!!
